- No the modem does not have to be uninstalled. I performed the
- solution by Cardinal tech support as follows:

- Using explorer start regedit.exe in the windows directory.
- Select edit/find.
- Find dialsuffix (no spaces)
- Hit enter.
- Delete the ;
- Click OK.
- Close Regedit
- Restart your computer.

- run regedit from the start bar find dialsuffix, double click on it,
- delete the semicolon, close regedit and reboot.
